our story

Andrew and Michaela first met when they were two little church kids in their hometown in Western Massachusetts. After not seeing each other for over 10 years, they reconnected while Andrew was living on his boat in Seattle and Michaela was back in their hometown.

Their first time reuniting in person was in Seattle where Andrew was restoring his first vessel, a 1979 Ocean Alexander 40, Lady M. It was here that Michaela fell in love with boat life (and Andrew). Exactly one year later they were engaged while sailing on Lady M. Seven months later they married on Vashon Island, WA.

Andrew is a Merchant Marine who sailed for several years before returning land-side to be home. Michaela is a musician who goes by the name of Fleuke and she runs a non-profit to help those with Lyme disease called I Love The Way You Lyme as well as a clothing line called Fleuke Apparel.

They are currently restoring a 1982 Albin 40 trawler, Henrietta, in North Kingstown, RI with their boat dog, Boston.
